Diethard Mattanovich

Diethard Mattanovich is Full Professor of Microbial Strain Design and Head of the Institute of Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology (IMMB) at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU). In 2010 he co-founded the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology (acib) where he directs the research area Microbial Parts and Systems. Daniel Hickman

Dan Hickman is a Senior R&D Fellow in the Engineering and Process Science department of Dow’s Core Research & Development organization. He received his B.S. in chemical engineering from Iowa State University (1988) and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota (1992) in the field of short contact time catalytic monolith reactors.

Amit Bhatnagar

My research background is in the field of water and wastewater remediation technologies and solid waste management. My current research focuses on application of biomaterials (e.g. cellulose and biochar) for (waste)water treatment, synthesis and use of nanocomposites and nanophotocatalysts in water pollution abatement and application of microalgae in wastewater treatment, resource recovery and bioenergy production.
