Sanisal P regeneration tablets

Required as part of the pre-treatment for pure-water generation systems, water softeners run the risk of growth of microorganisms on the large surface area of their ion exchange resins. Such growth has the potential to contaminate the water and result in impermissibly high germ counts that could endanger production processes. This problem is often mitigated with built-in sanitization facilities, which are complex and expensive. A simpler solution comes in a regeneration tablet: the germ-reducing Sanisal P.

FT4 universal powder tester

The FT4 state-of-the-art universal powder tester offers automated bulk, shear and dynamic property measurement. The data generated correlate directly with various aspects of processing behavior making the instrument ideal for formulation and process optimization, as well as effective quality control. With this unit, powders are tested in a consolidated, conditioned and aerated state to fully characterize behavior and the factors influencing it. This facilitates the rapid identification of properties with a critical impact on performance.

ActiFlow smart bulk-solids activator

The ActiFlow smart bulk-solids activator is a non-product-contact device consisting of a vibratory drive and an intelligent control unit. Its use eliminates the need for mechanical agitators with secondary motors and gearboxes for applications involving difficult materials. The control module’s patent-pending self-tuning algorithm monitors the system, continuously adjusting the frequency and amplitude to maintain flow within the hopper, which prevents the formation of bridges and rat-holes.

Eclipse Model 705

The Eclipse Model 705 is a loop-powered, 24-VDC level radar transmitter that is very easy to configure. It is available with a Type 304 stainless steel housing that was designed specifically for hygienic applications. This instrument meets the needs and requirements of sanitary applications involving wetted and nonwetted materials, process connections, and surface finishes. It supports the Field Device Tool/Device Type Manager (FDT/DTM) standard and it includes the PACTware PC software package, which allows for additional configuration and trending flexibility.

Computrac MAX 4000XL moisture analyzer

The Computrac MAX 4000XL moisture analyzer features uniform heating and a lid fan that rapidly cools the heating chamber to reduce time between tests. It has a color liquid crystal display (LCD) to make it more user-friendly, and it allows multiple user logins to organize samples. It complies with Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 11 (21 CFR 11). It is available with optional packages to validate installation qualification / operational qualification / performance qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).

ErgoTouch Pro flowmeter

The ErgoTouch Pro flowmeter stores 10,000 data records and can process up to six channels of data simultaneously. It uses USB communications and controls flowrates up to 0.1 ft3/min (2.83 L/min). A Windows CE interface is displayed on its color touch screen.

FT4 powder rheometer

The FT4 powder rheometer features a new graphical user interface (GUI) that is flexible and intuitive and has an enhanced real-time display. The FT4 combines shear, bulk, dynamic, and axial powder testing methodologies for comprehensive powder characterization. The new GUI enables all FT4 users, whether new to the system or experienced, to fully exploit its multifunctionality. For the novice, the GUI provides step-by-step guidance on preparing samples and running tests. Experienced operators can take advantage of the device’s flexibility to create, manage, and run user-specific protocols.

6020 environmental chamber

The 6020 environmental chamber is designed to ICH guidelines (Q1A) and is suitable for use in shelf-life studies, stability and package testing, and temperature- and humidity-elevation studies. It measures 25 ft3, and has onboard technology that provides precise temperature and humidity-controlled environmental conditions for numerous applications. Its gVAPOR humidity system delivers a controlled-humidity vapor as needed without wasting energy or generating heat. The gROD control system efficiently manages power consumption, saving electricity.

SOTAX HT 100 automated tablet-testing system

The SOTAX HT 100 automated tablet-testing system measures tablet weight, thickness, hardness, and dimensions (width, length and diameter). Its patented auto-alignment device is designed to place oblong tablets in the proper position for hardness testing. It can operate as a stand-alone system, processing hundreds of tablets with no operator intervention. The unit is controlled by Q-Doc Quality Management software; it can also be controlled via an external PC, a built-in PC, or a touch-screen monitor with built-in PC.

Sparger System

This sparger system reduces the time and effort needed to replace porous metal sparger elements in bioreactor and fermenter tanks. Its design allows a new tip to be installed at the end of the assembly after each batch is complete. Once installed, the sparger tip is ready for steam-in-place operation. It is removable for cleaning by a variety of methods, including ultrasonic cleaning or detergent and water flush. Changing to clean sparger tips after each batch provides an excellent method of maintaining GMP process validation while reducing the time and cost between batches.
