Welcome to Boston
Revolutionary ideas, meet chemical engineers
Meeting Quick-Start Guide
On Nov. 2–6, the 2025 AIChE Annual Meeting will be held at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, Marriott Copley Place, and Sheraton Boston in Boston, MA.
Prior and concurrent to the Annual Meeting, the 2025 AIChE Annual Student Conference (ASC) will take place Oct. 31–Nov. 3 in the same venues. At the ASC, thousands of undergraduate students will gather to share ideas, participate in competitions, and celebrate the chemical engineering profession. (See p. 57)
This meeting preview contains everything you need to know to navigate the conference. Begin by checking out the exhibit and registration hours on the next page, then choose which featured events you would like to attend — some of which are highlighted on pp. 52–56. Attend technical sessions based on the topical conferences or divisions and forums that interest you. And, be sure to purchase your tickets to ticketed events in advance.
We hope you connect with fellow academic and industry researchers, engage in cutting-edge technical sessions, and learn something new at this year’s conference.
We look forward to seeing you in Boston!

Attend the Circular Bioeconomy Workshop on Nov. 2, 2025, at the Marriott Boston Copley Place.
This one-day event brings together leading experts in metabolic engineering, industrial bioprocessing, and sustainable feedstocks to explore how biological approaches are reshaping the future of the chemical process industries.
This workshop aims to answer:
- What have we learned about the commercialization viability of past feedstocks, and how can those lessons be applied to ongoing efforts?
- What new, sustainable feedstocks have an opportunity to be more effectively incorporated into the circular bioeconomy?
Whether you’re a researcher, entrepreneur, or policymaker, this workshop offers the perfect platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and networking — all focused on driving the circular transition forward. (Cost to attend: $20)
