Scott D. Love, PE Chair, CPE Managing Board Scott received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1980. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas (1985) and Oklahoma (1987). He began his career as a process engineer at Phillips Petroleum Company’s Borger Refinery in 1980 and retired in 2015 as Fellow from ConocoPhillips Company after over 34 years. Scott has been very active within AIChE since the mid-1980’s. He was elected AIChE Fellow in 2006, funded AIChE Process Engineer web page development in 2018 and was named AIChE Foundation Philanthropist of the Year. In 2023, he led a small team to develop The Community of Process Engineers (CPE) Bylaws and gain Board of Directors approval for the formation of CPE.
Deborah Grubbe, PE, CEng, NAC, NAE Vice Chair, CPE Managing Board Deborah obtained her BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. She is the owner of a safety consulting company, and served in executive positions with both DuPont and BP. Deborah has been a member of the NASA Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel, and consulted in safety culture with the Columbia Shuttle Accident Investigation Board. She currently serves on the Engineering Advisory Council at Rowan University, and on the Chemical Engineering Advisory Board at Drexel University. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Delaware, a chartered engineer in the United Kingdom, and is a Fellow of both the American and British Chemical Engineering Societies. She is a past President of AIChE and is an Emeritus Member of the Center for Chemical Process Safety.
