Manufacture of PAN Carbon Fiber in Piedmont, SC
Ben Walker, 1981 graduate of University of Pittsburgh presented a history and overview of the production of PAN Carbon fiber at the Piedmont facility in the upstate. Mike Berry a 1975 Clemson Engineering Technology graduate provided samples and augmented the discussion.

Upon conclusion of presentation, the business of elections was discussed: Anastase Ghionis (on ZOOM), Jacob Lindler, William Thompson, Constanze Walker, James Young were present for the discussion and were willing to serve in some capacity next year. Don Gurney, Anil Wagle, Bonnie McCourtie and Ann M Jones were not present but had indicated they would be willing to continue to serve on the executive committee. A final slate of officers will be presented and emailed to membership along with the survey results regarding the May meeting date.
