ABSTRACT:  This presentation will provide insight on what ozone is and how ozone is generated for industrial application. After describing ozone generation concepts and devices, the presentation will focus on how to use ozone for disinfection, food sanitation, and raw water treatment. Several industrial case studies will be discussed during this presentation.

SPEAKER BIO: Dr. Reza Zahedi is a Professional Engineer licensed in several US states, a licensed Chartered engineer in the UK, and has over 16 years of professional experience. He started his career in a university setting and after 9 years of teaching and research, he moved to industry. In the last 7 years, Dr Reza has been director of engineering at several companies. He has over 150 publications including journal, conference, and two books (his recent book entitled “Modeling, Simulation, and Optimization of Supercritical and Subcritical Fluid Extraction Processes” is under publication by Wiley).
