The interactive workshop will discuss the skills and technology you should sharpen to maintain a competitive edge, and how to balance personal growth with professional development.

As chemical engineers, we are equipped with a specific set of skills to tackle technological and strategic problems. But how do you apply those same skills towards the development of your own career? What if your career was run like a startup? What are your assets? What customers do you serve? What makes you the go-to person when certain problems arise? How would you market yourself to your company and your profession?

// About the Speaker

Austin S. Lin is a Technical Program Manager for Google Cloud where he helps build datacenters.  He never thought a degree in chemical engineering would bring him into the tech world when he first started making Duracell batteries and chemical fragrances early in his career. He presently serves on the leadership team of AIChE NorCal.
