Mohan S. Iyer, COO Whole Biome
Mohan is currently Chief Operating Officer of Whole Biome, a leading startup in the microbiome field. He started is career as a biochemical engineer at Genentech in the mid-80s, when the biotech industry itself was comprised of start-ups. In a career spanning over 30 years in biotech, he has held various executive level positions in both business and technical functions at several venture capital funded start-ups in the San Francisco Bay Area including diaDexus, Tethys, and Second Genome. He has also spent stints as a management consultant with a special focus on market entry strategieis, as well as a biotech investment banker assisting with complex partnering and M&A transactions. He serves on a variety of advisory boards as well as an independent board member at start-up companies. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering (Tennessee), an MS in Biomedical Engineering (Duke) and an MBA (Yale).
Chris Davis, PhD, Research Fellow, Impossible Foods
Chris Davis is a Research Fellow in Impossible Foods' research and development labs with a focus on long term research and alliances. Before joining Impossible, Chris was at Codexis, Inc., where he held a variety of technical leadership positions engineering proteins and strains. He is an inventor on 24 US patents. Chris holds a B.S. in Chemistry & Biochemistry from the University of Southampton and a D.Phil in Organic Chemistry from Oxford University.
