April 15-17, 2016: USA Science and Engineering Festival

Help is needed with an AIChE project in downtown Washington, D.C. on Friday-Sunday, April 15-17, 2016. AIChE will be one of over 700 organizations participating in the 2016 USA Science and Engineering Festival, to be held at the Walter E. Several chemical engineering students or professionals who are willing to volunteer to provide in-person coverage for the AIChE booth during the event, are needed. The AIChE booth will feature a demonstration on fluid-mixing, as well as information about chemical engineering educational and career options, for visitors. A volunteer team has been meeting periodically over the past year, and the activities are well-planned.

AIChE participated in the 2014 festival, and about 500-750 visitors stopped by the booth. Frank attests firsthand to the experience being fun and exciting for both the volunteers and the visitors.
