Hello there,
We at AIChE NCS are thrilled to invite you to participate in an exclusive money-making guaranteed opportunity. No, this is not a get-rich-quick scheme; it’s a tour of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing! Come see the largest-scale, process engineering operation in this country done only by our federal government. BEP processes and prints huge volumes of Federal Reserve Notes (paper currency), Treasury securities, and other documents, so it’s sure to be a must-Curren-see.
RSVP to Brian Slawski ahead of time to secure your spot: slawski_brian@yahoo.com.
Date: Friday, July 18
Time: Tour begins at 12:15 p.m. However, this is a federal facility; please arrive 15 to 30 minutes early to clear security (said to be “airport-like”). (Note that food, beverages, aerosols, weapons, sharp items, and oversize packages are not permitted.). Tour lasts about 45 minutes. You can also enjoy the exhibits in the Visitor Center while waiting before the tour or afterwards.
Location: BEP is at 14th St and C St, SW, Washington, D.C. 20228; the entrance is on the west side of 14 th Street near the intersection with C Street, on the same side of the street as the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Navigation: BEP does not provide visitor parking. There is a paid parking garage located on D Street, SW, between 13th and 14th Streets, and some metered parking on Independence Avenue. The nearest Metro rail stop is Smithsonian on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines, located two blocks east of the Tour and Visitor Center.
Don't miss this opportunity to make your mark!
