For AIChE members, this lecture qualifies for 1 professional development hour (PDH) credit. PDH certificates will be provided to interested attendees.

This presentation will focus on the basic manufacturing of silicones and why this chemistry drives the very broad organization of Dow Corning and the thousands of applications that they serve.

Adam Peterson is currently a Project Leader within Dow Corning’s Quality and Productivity group. Adam has had a great variety in his assignments at Dow Corning working in product development and technical service across diverse industry groups such as aerospace defense and personal care. As he has led global projects and programs, Adam has focused his career on the development of professional project leadership across Dow Corning. He has been active in the definition of career ladders and training programs for these roles, and is an ASQ certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Adam has four kids, ages 17 to 9, and is married to Dr. Lori Peterson a local veterinarian. Adam is very active in the community which includes volunteering his project and leadership skills for small businesses and non-profits.
