Abstract
In this crash course on biodegradation, we will explore the fundamental principles and practical applications of biodegradation processes. This session will delve into the mechanisms by which organic substances are broken down by microorganisms, the environmental factors affecting these processes, the test methods of assessing biodegradation and challenges associated with them, as well as their relevance in various engineering fields. Attendees will gain insights into the latest research and technological advancements in biodegradation, as well as real-world examples of sustainable engineering practices.
