Dr. Markus Scheller was selected to receive the 2026 MGMT Division Service Award for his outstanding contributions to the operation and growth of the division, as well as changing our membership’s perception of the value of management. Markus has been an active contributor the the MGMT division for a decade, having served as Director for three years and a dedicated member of the Awards Committee since 2016. In 2015, Markus was selected as the AIChE Management Award recipient, and in 2017 he was elected AIChE Fellow.
Markus worked for several companies, including BASF and Ciba-Geigy, for almost 30 years. Since July 2017 he has been supporting SSE (Société Swisse des Explosifs SA) in various roles, and as a Board member since 2020.
Since Markus is not able to attend any of the meetings this year, the award will be presented to him at one of the 2027 AIChE meetings. Congratulations to Markus for this very well deserved recognition.
