[December 8, 2025] David López Piquer was selected as the recipient of Management Division 2026 Young Leader Award for his significant contributions to Dow and the broader chemical engineering field. With over 14 years at Dow, David has successfully led teams in both the EMEA and USA regions, driving over $1 billion in value and advancing breakthrough technologies that power Packaging, Infrastructure, Mobility, and Consumer markets.
Currently, as Director of Technical Service & Development (TS&D) for Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics in EMEA, David leads a team of over 70 professionals dedicated to pioneering solutions that combine best-in-class performance with sustainability, fostering customer-centricity, innovation and collaboration across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Throughout his career, David has focused on building inclusive teams of experts, strengthening market participation, advancing sustainability initiatives, and expanding Dow’s innovation pipeline. His leadership has contributed to award-winning innovations such as ENDURANCE™ for power transmission cables, AXELERON™ for fiber optic cables, INNATE™ and AGILITY™ AT for packaging, and INFINAIR™ for mobility applications. Passionate about people development, David champions programs like Gig Marketplace, creating growth opportunities that accelerate organizational upskilling and nurture the next generation of innovators and leaders.
David holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Rovira i Virgili (Spain) and the Technical University of Berlin (Germany). Beyond Dow, he contributes to the scientific community as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Mediterranean Congress of Chemical Engineering (MECCE) and as Chair of the new Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE) chapter in South Europe, where he is helping organize the first International Polyolefin Conference in 2026.
