October 20, 2013Hilton, Alexandria, VAThe RCN-SEES K-12 Outreach on CCUS Workshop, sponsored by the NSF Research Coordination Network on Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage will take place on Sunday Oct. 20th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and is chaired by Tony Butterfield, University of Utah. This workshop will feature the Chalk from Carbon Dioxide module, which is designed to generate student interest in science, math, and engineering by building a connection between science and engineering careers and helping society. The workshop is targeted toward teachers searching for experimental methods to demonstrate carbon capture, but is also suitable for students who have the required scientific understanding.
