Maria Savino

Maria Savino holds a Ph. D in Cellular and Molecular Biology, and a Master in Business Administration. She has been sales manager for biotechnology companies within an international scope for more than 10 years and since she joined Beckman Coulter Life Sciences after the acquisition of Labcyte Inc in 2019, she has occupied roles in marketing and business development. Today she is focused on demonstrating Beckman Coulter Life Sciences solutions as essential parts of the laboratory workflow in Biomanufacturing.

Matt Cohen



Matt joined CEV as an Investment Principal in May 2023. He brings over a decade of climatetech investing experience to CEV.

Prior to joining CEV, Matt was Director of Technology at Pangaea Ventures, an impact-focused venture capital firm. There, he played a key role in directing the firm’s technology scouting and evaluation activities. Chris Fay

Chris Fay is a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (REAP) and Technical Director at Arup with over 20 years of experience in environmental planning and impact assessment. He has led complex infrastructure and energy projects across Australia, Southeast Asia, and North America, with a focus on regulatory approvals, ESG compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Lisa Hein

Lisa Hein is a chartered chemical engineer and TÜV certified functional safety engineer with over 25 years of industry experience in both operating companies and consulting. She has extensive experience as a site-based engineer in the Cooper Basin, where she encountered several major incidents early in her career in the oil and gas industry. These experiences sparked her specialist interest in process safety in both design and operations.

Richard Hughes
