Kevin Klein, P.E., is an Instrumented Protective System (IPS) subject matter expert (SME) at Chevron, a member of the ISA84 and IEC61511 committees, chair of the ISA84 workgroup “Functional Safety: Low Integrity Safety Layers,” and an ISA Fellow. He focuses on IPS design and technology development. He holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from Valparaiso Univ. and has 44 years of experience in the chemical and oil and gas industries.Read more

David Board is the Principal Technology Strategist at Yokogawa. His areas of expertise include visualization, batch processing, interoperability, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital twin technologies, edge technologies, and edge analytics. He is chair-elect of the ISA Standards and Practices Board, the ISA88 chair, and chair or convenor of several IEC and other automation committees.
