
MANISH AGGARWAL is a senior engineer at Aspen Technology in Bedford, MA (Email: manish.aggarwal@aspentech.com, manishag@alumni.cmu.edu). He holds a master’s in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon Univ. and a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the National Institute of Technology. His expertise spans process modeling, economic evaluation, and chemical process optimization. At AspenTech, he focuses on front-end engineering design (FEED) and the development of tools for process modeling and decision support. Previously, as a process engineer, he contributed to FEED development for licensor packages for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and project management consultancy (PMC) projects in the petrochemical, refinery, and utility sectors. Aggarwal has also led research in energy storage and supercapacitor development using nanostructured materials and microwave laser-based fabrication techniques. A Senior Member of AIChE, he serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Chemical Engineering Progress and is an active peer reviewer for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) forums and technical conferences.
