Haresh Malkani

Haresh was appointed CTO of CESMII starting March 1, 2018. He brings over 29 years of experience in an industrial RD&E environment covering development and deployment of Smart Manufacturing technologies including sensing, automation, control, modeling, simulation and analytics for applications in continuous, hybrid and discrete manufacturing operations. Haresh oversees the development and application of the nation’s first open, collaborative Smart Manufacturing technology platform for industrial applications. In addition, he provides guidance on the institute’s technical program content for training and workforce development.Read more

Novo Nordisk Foundation Grant Application

The Society for Biological Engineering is proud to announce the funding opportunity from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to partially support students and post doc to attend the 4th International Conference on Plant Synthetic Biology, Bioengineering and Biotechnology. You are required to submit a quality abstract of your research (Poster or Oral) to apply for support. Additionally, please provide a short justification regarding your merits and reasons to receive support. The resulting survey will be reviewed by a selecting committee. All data collected will remain confidential.

Bill Tolman

William B. Tolman received a B.S. degree from Wesleyan University (1983) and a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley (1987). After a postdoctoral stint at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota (1990), and rose through the ranks to Distinguished McKnight University Professor. Miguel A. Modestino

Miguel A. Modestino is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of New York University (NYU). Miguel obtained his B.S in Chemical Engineering (2007) and M.S. in Chemical Engineering Practice (2008) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. in from the University of California, Berkeley (2013). Samir Mitragotri

Samir Mitragotri is the Hiller Professor of Bioengineering and Wyss Professor of Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University.
