Kamil Gedeon

Dr. Kamil Gedeon received his B.S. in Chemical-Biological Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). While at MIT he was awarded the Albert G. Hill Prize, a prize awarded to minority juniors or seniors who have maintained high academic standards and have made continued contributions to improving the quality of life for minorities at MIT. Post-graduation, he worked at Greenlight Biosciences as a process development engineer working to develop fermentation-based and cell-free processes at the lab-scale and the pilot scale for bioproduct formation. Bryan Hsu

Bryan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech. His current research interests include understanding how phages influence bacterial consortia, their implications for the microbial ecology within the gut, and ultimately how phages and their communities can be modulated for therapeutic purposes. He is also interested in developing biomaterials for improving delivery and diagnosis within the gastrointestinal tract.
