Aurelien Neveu

Dr. Aurelien research activities mainly focus on the understanding of granular materials at different scales. During his PhD he has developed discrete numerical models to describe fragmentation mechanics of cohesive granular materials by taking into account micro-properties of the grains. He then moved to a larger scale to study gravity-driven rapid flows as well as aeolian transport of granular materials, with huge implications on natural disasters. He is presently working as a particle scientist at Granutools company, and doing his research on powder properties characterization.Read more

Richard Lakerveld

Richard Lakerveld is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He joined the CBE department of HKUST in October 2014. He was an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology for two years before joining the faculty of HKUST. Prior to that, he worked for two years as postdoctoral associate at the Chemical Engineering Department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the group of Paul Barton. At MIT, he worked on plant-wide control of continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing...Read more

Bridgette Peake

Dr. Bridgette Peake earned her B.S. in human biology from Michigan State University, and completed her M.S in molecular biology at Western Illinois University in 2010. She earned her doctorate in Molecular Pharmacology from Emory University in 2017. Her studies focused on overcoming mechanisms of chemoresistance in breast cancer. Her dissertation work investigating HER2-positive breast cancer led to the identification of GDF15 as a driving cytokine of cellular invasion and metastasis. Dr. Peake played an active role on the executive member of Emory’s Black Graduate Student Organization for...Read more
