Wilfried Weber

Wilfried Weber earned his Ph.D. and completed his postdoctoral training with Martin Fussenegger at ETH Zurich. He started his research group at ETH Zurich and was appointed as Full Professor of Synthetic Biology at the University of Freiburg, Germany in 2009. His lab focuses on the development and application of optogenetic technologies to interface mammalian cell signalling with multichromatic optical stimuli. More recently, his lab combined extracellular optogenetic tools with concepts from materials sciences to develop optically responsive extracellular matrices. These matrices can...Read more

Alexej Jerschow

Alexej is Professor of Chemistry at New York University with over 20 years of experience in magnetic resonance and its applications in fields ranging from the health to the materials fields. Alexej led a team that produced the first Lithium MRI images from intact Li-ion cells, which allowed unprecedented visualization and characterization of Li-dendrites in situ. Similar techniques were also used in assessing the performance of supercapacitors. The laboratory has further pioneered developments of techniques for studying the characteristics of commercial and custom cells.Read more

A Sustainable Approach to Effective Process Safety Information

Effective Process Safety Information (PSI) Management is a critical component for satisfying OSHA, EPA, state, and corporate safety requirements. Unfortunately, an ever-increasing demand for product, limited internal resources, and quick deadlines make managing facilities’ PSI a challenging and costly endeavor. Utilizing an “evergreen” approach to your site’s PSI Management eliminates wasted time and resource costs, provides accurate and usable PSI data, prevents sitewide revalidations, keeps facilities fully compliant, and most importantly, ensures the facilities’ staff and assets are operating safely. Download this paper to find out how your site can save millions of unnecessary costs through an “evergreen” approach.
