David Schwartz

Dr. David Schwartz is Area Manager in PARC’s Hardware Systems Laboratory. He directs research focused on flexible and wearable electronics and printed and distributed sensor systems and associated analytics, as well as projects in mm-wave technologies and energy efficiency. He also served as the lead circuit and systems designer for PARC’s printed and flexible electronics for eight years. Recent work includes development of printed gas sensors, RF-powered flexible temperature and humidity sensors for building environment optimization, and an in-mouth BLE-enabled saliva biosensor platform....Read more

Jennifer L. West

Jennifer West’s research in biomaterials and tissue engineering involves the synthesis, development, and application of novel, biofunctional materials, and the use of biomaterials and engineering approaches to study biological problems. Current projects include the design of ECM-mimetic hydrogel materials, novel microfabrication strategies for biomimetic patterning, and nanoparticle theranostics.Read more

Dr. Brendan A. Niemira is the Research Leader of the Food Safety and Intervention Technologies Research Unit at the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s Eastern Regional Research Center in Wyndmoor, PA. He leads a team of 30+ scientists, engineers, technicians, postdocs and students in developing tools to kill human pathogens - E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Shigella, norovirus, etc. - on produce, meats, poultry, shellfish, and other foods.Read more
