Martin Brudermüller

Martin Brudermüller was born in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1961. In 1980 he started studying Chemistry at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and received his degree in 1985. After earning his doctorate in Karlsruhe in 1987, he did a postdoc at the University of California, Berkeley, United States.

He joined BASF in 1988 as a research scientist in the Ammonia Laboratory. Subsequently, he had various positions in business, production and strategic planning until he became president of the Functional Polymers division in 2003.
