Dopant Permeation Tubes

These dopant permeation tubes can be used to detect trace concentrations of narcotics, explosives, chemical warfare agents (CWAs), and industrial airborne molecular contaminants (AMCs). The detection systems are based on ion mobility spectroscopy (IMS) and are suitable for such applications as plant security and atmospheric monitoring of manufacturing operations. The basic dopant tube is a small plastic cylinder with the pure dopant compound sealed inside.

ADT Select View platform of managed video services

The ADT Select View platform of managed video services can help large and small organizations to optimize the use of video surveillance with minimal infrastructure investment. Using the customer’s existing video-surveillance equipment, the company provides the infrastructure needed to supply a range of services — which can be used to increase intrusion monitoring, security, and access control; optimize guard resources; deter theft; safeguard critical infrastructure; support regulatory compliance; improve operational efficiencies; and reduce false alarms.

BioFlex fluid-path assemblies

The BioFlex fluid-path assemblies are single-use tubing and filter/tubing units designed for secure fluid transfer in critical biopharmaceutical processing applications. They can be customized to meet the end-user’s requirements for tubing material, connections, and various other components to create a secure fluid path. They can also be used in conventional or hybrid facilities to connect single-use and stainless steel processing equipment.

Hose Identification Systems

Several new solutions now take the guesswork out of hose and manifold identification, which is crucial for safety, traceability, and regulatory compliance, as well as for identifying the capabilities and/or limitations of critical process hoses used in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biomedical, chemical, and food and beverage industries. Options range from quick visual identifiers such as color (for the tubing or the braid), to laser-etched components, to radio frequency identification (RFID) tags.

Vic-Press

Vic-Press is a flame-free press-to-connect device that joins off-the-shelf ANSI Schedule 10S stainless steel pipe in a matter of seconds. It provides increased strength and durability, and eliminates the need to stock specialty pipe. With better flow characteristics than light-wall tubing, the joined pipe handles up to one and a half times the flow with 20+% less pressure drop, and it offers up to three times the end-load performance and twice the bend-load performance. Installation requires 70% fewer man-hours than welding, which significantly reduces rework and risk to personnel.

Chemfluor Convoflex WCSR multipurpose chemical-transfer hose

The Chemfluor Convoflex WCSR multipurpose chemical-transfer hose is designed to handle the bulk transfer of corrosive chemicals (such as acids) that may damage the stainless steel braid commonly used as a cover on transfer hoses. The design of the low-profile, helical convoluted inner core provides flexibility and prevents kinking, a common cause of downtime for such demanding applications. The hose is constructed with a chemical-resistant, high-purity Chemfluor polytetrafluoro-ethylene (PTFE) inner core and is reinforced with high-tensile-strength Type 304 stainless steel braids.

High-Pressure Fittings

These 360-µm high-pressure fittings allow direct connection of 360-µm-OD fused silica, polyetheretherketone (PEEK), stainless steel, or electroformed nickel tubing without the need to use liners. With fine 2-56 threads, the compact fittings provide a leakfree connection that seals at pressures well in excess of 20,000 psi. They can be easily formed with a manual tool, and are available with a PEEK or stainless steel nut; the PEEK nut is supplied with a glass-filled PEEK ferrule, while the stainless nut uses a 316 SS ferrule.

Clampseal Urea Service Valves

Clampseal Urea Service Valves are designed to control the flow in high-pressure piping used in urea reactors, strippers, and condensers handling ammonium carbonate, nitric acid, and urea process fluids. These valves comply with all international standards including ISO 9001, and can handle pressures through ASME/ANSI Class 2500. They come in 0.5–4-in. sizes with flanged end, hub connector, or weld end options, and feature a pressure-actuated back seat; integral gland wrench; modular, interchangeable body styles; and axial-loading packing system.

Type 131 and Type 133 electrically actuated ball valves

The Type 131 and Type 133 electrically actuated ball valves are adaptable to a variety of conditions and applications — from simple on/off control to more-sophisticated automated flow control using the optional PE25 flow control positioner to continually and precisely move the valve to the desired position. The valves are available in polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), polypropylene, and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), and in sizes of 3/8 in. to 4 in.

E Series family of pneumatic solenoid valves

The energy-efficient E Series family of pneumatic solenoid valves is specifically engineered for air and dry gas applications, and features a low power consumption of just 0.65 W. A nickel-plated body and coil housing construction make it highly durable and corrosion resistant. These solenoid valves feature a compact cylindrical body, with diameters less than 0.75 in. (19 mm) and lengths under 2 in. (50.8 mm), and orifice sizes ranging from 0.032 in. to 0.078 in. (0.81 to 1.98 mm).
