The session will present papers that look at the sport of skiing and snowboarding and the inspirational stories of chemical engineering applications that have revolutionized the sport. We will connect complex topics of momentum, mass and heat transport to the equipment, physical dynamics, biological mechanisms and emotional inspiration that leads innovative entrepreneurs to dream up new ways of changing the world while out in the mountains flying down a hill at 35 miles per hour.
