This month the VLS will have the 2014 AIChE President-Elect candidates, Cheryl I. Teich and Philip W. Winkler, discuss their vision for AIChE. After the discussion, the candidates will have the opportunity to answer your questions in a friendly sharing of ideas and plans. This is not a debate, but a chance to find out who the candidates are so you can be an informed voter.

Cheryl Teich is the Reaction Engineering Expertise Leader in Dow Chemical’s Engineering Solutions Technology Center. She joined Dow during its 2009 Rohm and Haas acquisition, and recently marked her 30th anniversary with the combined company. Cheryl holds BS (MIT), MS (MIT), and PhD (Stevens Institute of Technology) degrees in chemical engineering. She has spent her career negotiating the interfaces between R&D, manufacturing, and business functions. Phil Winkler retired from Air Products in 2010 after a successful career in creating partnerships among government, industry, and academia to develop and commercialize new technologies. In 2011, Phil began a consulting practice focused on clean energy.
