PlantESP

PlantESP is the latest addition to the LOOP-PRO suite of process control diagnostic and optimization solutions. It actively monitors the performance of a production facility’s PID controllers, and isolates and corrects underperforming regulatory control systems. It also alerts users to performance issues related to a plant’s mechanical final-control elements and process limits, and provides timely plantwide analysis, customized communications, and actionable recommendations for reestablishing effective control. PlantESP is highly scalable and is capable of monitoring and analyzing thousands of PID controllers simultaneously. It evaluates individual controller performance against a collection of essential controller-tuning metrics and user-defined performance benchmarks. Power Spectrum identifies loop interactions and the associated shared cyclical disturbances within a plant environment. It equips production and maintenance staff with intuitive means for determining root cause, saving valuable time and increasing overall plant profitability. Using Microsoft’s Silverlight technology, the secure, web-based application accesses process data directly from a facility’s existing data historians and Historical-OPC servers to place minimal demand on a plant’s limited IT resources. Registered users can configure alert and report settings to match their individual responsibilities, production goals, or other job-specific criteria.
