Qiang Yu is currently an associate professor of Biomass Energy Research Center at Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences (GIEC, CAS). He got the American Superconductor Scholarship in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and received his Ph.D. in 2011.As an outstanding researcher, he was selected to join Youth Innovation Promotion Association, CAS. Now he is in charge of R&D of green and efficient pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass and high valuable products (such as xylo-oligosaccharides, etc) conversion. His research about the liquid hot water pretreatment process and mechanism is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, Science and Technology Planning Project of Guangdong Province and Pearl River S&T Nova Program of Guangzhou,China.
