Manoj Menon

Dr. Manoj Menon is a technical leader with over 20 years of global experience in biopharmaceutical product development, commercial manufacturing, licensure, and launch. He provides technical oversight of AZ’s global drug substance manufacturing network. Recently, he also played a leadership role in driving rapid product development and large-scale manufacture of AZ’s Long acting antibody (AZD7442) products for prophylaxis of Covid-19. Prior roles at AZ include Technical Director for commercial external supply network, global product technical lead for licensure and launch of Fasenra® and for multiple late-phase clinical products in AZ’s pipeline. Prior to AZ, Dr. Menon was at Lonza Singapore, driving the successful start-up through commercial licensure of two large-scale biologics manufacturing facilities, and at Genzyme, Boston, MA, in various technical leadership roles. Dr. Menon holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and degrees in Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
