Ibnelwaleed Hussein

Dr. Hussein is a Research Professor at the Gas Processing Center, Qatar University. He holds a PhD from the Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at the University of Alberta, Canada in 1999. He Hussein received many Awards, Scholarships, and Prizes at the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and the University of Alberta, Canada, and Qatar University. He Hussein is the principal investigator, co-investigator, or team member of many universities and industry-funded projects. He supervised more than 40 MS/Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows. He joined Qatar University in August 2015; Hussein succeeded in securing about $3 million of research funding from the QNRF. His specialization is in the areas of Polymer and Rheology with application to the oil and petrochemicals industries. Dr. Hussein is actively involved in research in the area of polymers and materials and has published about 200 refereed journal articles and patents including about 30 Granted US patents.
