Guofu Chen

GUOFU CHEN, P.E., is a principal process engineer at Audubon Carbon (10205 Westheimer Rd Suite 100, Houston, TX 77042; Email: gchen@auduboncompanies.com). He has published and presented numerous papers on renewable energy, pressure relief valves, natural gas liquids, liquefied natural gas, carbon capture and hydrogen. Chen developed rigorous steady-state process models to predict the performance of chemical plants with existing unit operations like exchangers, towers, compressors, expanders, and control valves. He also used dynamic simulation to troubleshoot and validate process control, optimize existing plants’ performance, and train operators. Chen earned his BS in mechanical engineering from Zhejiang University, China. He is a licensed professional chemical engineer and professional mechanical engineer in both Texas and Louisiana.
