Ethan Hecht
Ethan Hecht is a part of the technical staff in the Hydrogen and Materials Science department at Sandia National Laboratories. He has broad expertise in hydrogen energy systems. He has led experimental investigations of (high pressure and cryogenic) hydrogen dispersion and flame behavior using laser and conventional diagnostics, helped develop the HyRAM+ (hyram.sandia.gov) quantitative risk assessment toolkit, contributed to reference station designs of hydrogen fueling stations, and performed experiments on the synthesis and characterization of metal hydrides for solid-state hydrogen storage. Ethan holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines along with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah.
