Daniel A. Crowl is retired from Michigan Technological University and the past Herbert H. Dow Professor for Chemical Process Safety. He is the coauthor (with J. F. Louvar) of the textbook "Chemical Process Safety: Fundamentals with Applications," 3rd ed., published by Prentice Hall (2011). He has written several other books and is an active member of many AICHE committees. He is a Fellow of AICHE.
