Hot Hand Protector

The Hot Hand Protector no-slip grip mitt is used for handling objects such as beakers, flasks, and bottles at extreme hot or cold temperatures. It is made from silicone rubber and is available in bright red, lime green and sky blue, making it easy to spot in the lab. The mitt measures 10 cm by 19 cm, with a “quick-fit” pocket at each end, one for the thumb and one for the fingers. Concaved tipped studs on the surface provide a secure grip.

STA Safety Trip Alarm

The STA Safety Trip Alarm performs as a logic solver and reacts to potentially hazardous process conditions. It can warn of unwanted process conditions, activate emergency shutdown, and provide on/off control in safety instrumented systems (SIS) and traditional alarm-trip applications. The 4-wire STA accepts an input signal from transmitters (current and voltage inputs), temperature sensors (resistance temperature detector and thermocouple inputs), resistance devices and potentiometers, and a wide range of other monitoring and control equipment. It has three failsafe alarm outputs.

Serpent ventilated safety helmet

The Serpent ventilated safety helmet uses a six-vent airflow system to let heat escape and help workers remain comfortable. The helmet weighs just 13.1 oz and has a sleek, snake-head shell design. A six-point nylon suspension system provides impact absorption, and a soft, cushioned brow pad helps absorb moisture and perspiration. The helmet is available with pin-lock or ratchet suspension, which adjusts to fit 6-5/8 to 8-1/4 head sizes. A rain trough diverts water away from the worker’s face.

TT-Flasher alarm

The TT-Flasher alarm is designed to assist operators in conducting regular onsite facility inspections for which a visual alert is sufficient to quickly attract attention. It can be linked to the manufacturer’s TraceTek leak-detection cable and fast-acting fuel sensor probes to provide first-level alarm compliance. It can also serve as a temporary alerting solution when enhanced systems for leak detection, location, monitoring and alarms are being specified for permanent installation. Alarm installation is quick and inexpensive.

In-Ear Dosimeter

This personal safety instrument measures and records a worker’s actual in-ear exposure to noise during a work shift. Existing noise measurement devices only sample ambient sound, which forces employers to estimate workplace noise levels and base hearing protection policy on potentially faulty conclusions. This can waste money, as well as risk regulatory violations and the health of employees.

PeakFit respirator

PeakFit is a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-approved N95 air-purifying respirator that has been specifically engineered for personal comfort. Its contoured design and ample size allow easy breathing, which helps reduce worker fatigue — and ultimately improves compliance rates and reduces safety expenses. The respirator’s molded nose bridge fits most faces without requiring the user to pinch a metal nose piece to achieve a better fit. The internal nose cushion is made from soft, closed-cell foam.

Tubejet CTR collector

The Tubejet CTR collector uses a pulse-jet dust collector to capture explosive aromatic-hydrocarbon resin. It has an air-to-cloth ratio of 3.9:1, and can process 4,000 ft3/min. Explosion relief vents, grounded filter bags, and an explosion suppression and isolation system located on the inlet ductwork help the collector meet current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 68 and 69 codes. Its all-welded construction permits standard vacuum/pressure operation ranging from ±20 in. w.g. to ±17 in. Hg., with designs available from full vacuum to ASME-coded vessels up to 50 psig.

StarLite Gumballs eyewear

StarLite Gumballs eyewear adds fun color options to the style, comfort and protective qualities of the original StarLite line of safety glasses. Each box features ten different, vibrantly colored temple choices, including: vanilla, black licorice, mocha brown, cotton candy, grape, orange, cherry red, blueberry, lemon yellow, and lime green. The lenses are clear and suitable for use in manufacturing, laboratories, medical offices, and many other indoor applications. The glasses comply with ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 standards, and block 99.9% of UV-A and UV-B rays.

Polar Hood

The Polar Hood is specifically designed to be worn with earmuffs, which ensures optimal attenuation for workers exposed to cold climates who also require hearing protection. In typical earmuff-hood configurations, the hood is worn over the earmuffs, which compromises temperature protection, or under the earmuffs, which compromises hearing protection. The Polar Hood has patented side panels to eliminate gaps between the earcup and ear, keeping the wearer warm and allowing a proper acoustic seal.

StarLite-SM safety eyewear

Since one-size-fits-all usually leaves out a few people, the smaller StarLite-SM safety eyewear has been specially designed for smaller, narrower faces. This version is 10% smaller than the classic StarLite models, but still provides exceptional impact protection, durability, superior optical quality, and a fashionable design. Its scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses, which are available in clear, gray, clear anti-fog, and mirror finish, filter out more than 99.9% of harmful UV-A and UV-B rays.
