Balston 76 Series explosionproof air dryers

Balston 76 Series explosionproof air dryers can operate in hazardous environments without costly National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)-rated enclosures. They achieve a consistent –40°F dewpoint and can handle flowrates up to 40 std. ft3/min. The dryers use industrial-grade membrane technology to remove all humidity from compressed air without the need for electrical components, such as relays and contacts that pose a risk of fire or explosion.

Kenics heat exchangers

Kenics heat exchangers are equipped with streamlined Kenics static mixer elements that provide heat-transfer rates three to seven times higher than those of conventional empty tubes, even with highly viscous, difficult-to-process materials. A continuous string of static mixer elements is located within each heat exchanger tube. Fluid flow is directed radially toward the pipe walls and back to the element, regardless of velocity. In addition, momentum reversal and flow division also contribute to mixing efficiency.

CF Series portable industrial chillers

CF Series portable industrial chillers provide process-chilled water wherever it is needed. Models are housed in a compact cabinet, whose dimensions allow it to be moved through standard door openings so that the chiller can be set up near a process. This fully packaged system includes a robust high-efficiency refrigeration circuit that includes industrial-style scroll compressors. The integrated tank, pump, and controls make set-up and operation easy.

P-Series chillers

P-Series chillers are available in air-cooled, water-cooled and split systems in sizes from 1 to 50 tons, and special models up to hundreds of tons. These process chillers can be configured with internal or external tanks and pumping systems, and can be installed both indoors and outdoors. Air-cooled condensers are constructed with seamless copper tubing and the fins are mechanically bonded with aluminum. These condensers have aluminum fans and totally enclosed air over (TEAO) fan motors that are designed to prevent overload.

FC Series cooling towers

FC Series cooling towers are designed for outdoor use in industrial manufacturing. Each tower’s 100% nonferrous construction provides corrosion resistance for a long service life and requires low maintenance. The tower casing and basin are made of fiberglass, and the internal structural supports are made from reinforced fiberglass. The fan support and fasteners are constructed from Type 304 stainless steel. Large, non-clogging orifice nozzles distribute water efficiently and uniformly across the entire fill surface.

Atlas dry baths

Designed to operate at temperatures up to 280°C, Atlas dry baths offer a safer and more efficient heating option for round-bottom flasks or vials without the risk and mess of oil baths. Compatible with leading brands of hotplates, the stacking dry bath is both compact and flexible. Its series of concentric cups accommodates flasks of varying volume, from 50 mL to 1 L. The triple dry bath is available for three flasks with capacities ranging from 50 mL to 250 mL. A protective safety shield enables the module to be quickly picked up and moved in the case of an emergency.

FireSight high-temperature remote viewing system

The FireSight high-temperature remote viewing system permits continuous and safe viewing of the flame quality and impingement on the tube walls of petrochemical process heaters. The system allows operators to view the flame in real time in order to tune the furnace to eliminate impingement, a hazardous and potentially catastrophic condition. It also provides an economical means to speed light-off and reduce NOx emissions by permitting color video monitoring of combustion and process control in boilers, furnaces, kilns and incinerators.

INFI-SEAL Electric Heaters

INFI-SEAL technology provides improved heater reliability and eliminates moisture-related startup problems by transforming the magnesium oxide in a tubular heater’s cold section from hygroscopic to hydrophobic (from readily absorbing water to repelling water). These treated heating elements exhibit infinite resistance to ground and do not absorb or retain moisture and are backed with a two-year limited warranty against moisture penetration.

Gaumer Hot Oil System (GHOS) series

The custom Gaumer Hot Oil System (GHOS) series is used in heating revolving rolls, platens, molds, jacketed tanks, and autoclaves. It has a pre-engineered design package that has been field tested under continuous operation at temperatures up to 650°F. Low watt-density Incoloy 800 sheath-heating elements are arranged to provide an even distribution of heat inside the tube bundle. The unique “buffer tank” design solves oil degradation problems associated with hot oil (over 150°F) reaching the expansion tank without the need for a nitrogen purge system.

No. 960 gas-heated, 550°F tunnel oven

The No. 960 gas-heated, 550°F tunnel oven is used for processing various composite resins and fibers. The modulating gas burner is powered by 400,000 BTU/h, while a 12,500-ft3/min, 10-hp recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the load. The oven features 4-in. insulated walls throughout, an aluminized interior and exterior, a motor-operated vertical lift door, side doors for workload access/maintenance and integral guide tracks at the workspace entry to support the user’s wheeled loading fixture, for faster start-up of the process.
