FATE 2.0 (Facility Flow, Aerosol, Thermal and Explosion Model) software is designed to replace computer codes currently used for design and safety analyses for U.S. Dept. of Energy projects at the Hanford site and elsewhere. It fulfills all OSHA CFR 29 1910.119 documentation requirements, and integrates and stores MOC, PHA, maintenance and equipment records.

One of the key benefits of Combustion Expert 3.2 is its ability to perform technical and economic evaluations when converting from oil- to natural-gas-fired furnaces or vice versa. These changes affect the flame temperature, air/fuel ratio, gas emissivity and the radiative heat transfer in the furnace. At higher temperatures, the heat transfer is almost always driven by radiation. These calculations are very cumbersome and difficult to make. However, with this software, these calculations can be done with a click of a mouse in a few seconds.

Now in the final beta-testing stage, PRISM 3D 5.0 is the next generation of software for sharing and extracting information from laser scan as-built documentation. Designed to streamline formal chemical requests and approvals for manufacturers using and storing chemicals, the Chemical Approval Process module provides an electronic platform that enables secured feedback between the requester of the chemical and the different departments that are involved in the decision-making process. To ensure a comprehensive communication channel, automatic emails are sent to requesters and approvers. For example, a user can search for a chemical in the database; if it has not been used before, the user can generate a formal request via an electronic form.

Free software for sharing Excel worksheets and mathematical models created in TK Solver 5.0 Premium Edition are now available, enabling users to dynamically link any number of mathematical models to an Excel spreadsheet and “package” the file without any programming. The new packaging feature automatically converts the file into a mini-application (e.g., .exe, .zip, .tkx) that can be shared with anyone, anywhere via the TK Solver Player for Excel. The Player is a collaborative math engine that can be downloaded from the UTS website free of charge.
