Magnetically Coupled Ball Valve

Because this ball valve’s stem and seals are encapsulated in a welded, sealed canister, if the seals fail, the transmitted medium cannot escape to the atmosphere. The valve is actuated by a magnetic coupling through the sealed canister, and uses a non-contact electromagnetic sensor to provide positive indication of the ball position. Previous valve designs were unable to provide an indication that the internal ball rotated to the desired open or closed position when the valve was actuated.

DirectSense TVOC

The DirectSense TVOC comes with a 10.6-eV PID sensor for ppb- or ppmrange measurement of total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs). Relative humidity and temperature sensors are included. Users can add up to three electrochemical sensors for the following gases: O3, NH3, NO2, NO, SO2, H2S, HCN, EtO, O2, Cl2, HCl, H2, AsH3, CO, and others. Probes for CO2, particle counts, differential pressure and other parameters may also be simultaneously monitored. Desktop PC software is included.

GasFindIR

The GasFindIR camera incorporates an infrared imager that employs a sensitive detector and cold filter to observe active leaks. This method replaces toxic vapor analyzers, or “sniffers,” which are labor-intensive, must be used at very close range, and only give an indication that a volatile organic compound (VOC) leak exists — unlike the camera, which clearly shows the leak. The GasFindIR enables workers to scan large areas to detect leaks, significantly increasing productivity.

Spectral Libraries

This catalog provides quick access to large and comprehensive collections of FT-IR and Raman spectral libraries, including the most common chemicals found in the “Aldrich Handbook of Fine Chemicals” and the “Sigma Biochemical Condensed Phase Library.” Several industry- and application-specific compounds related to petroleum products, foods and fragrances, as well as forensics, are also included.

Pipe-Flo 2007

Pipe-Flo 2007 has many new features to streamline program operation and increase the presentation value of the piping system model. This version of the software offers the option to draw piping schematics in 2-D or isometric format. It allows users to create custom shapes for pumps, tanks, components and control valves, and to copy and paste between piping system models. Now, the end user can size a flowmeter or balancing orifice and insert it into the piping system in a single step.

HSC Chemistry 7.0

The HSC Chemistry 7.0 process flowsheet simulation tool has four different modes: particles and reaction, which the previous version contained, and distribution and experimental, which are new. The distribution mode enables users to work with high-temperature process models. The experimental mode provides a visualization of stream properties and allows the development of experimental data tables. The software includes a library of 515 high-resolution icons designed to improve the appearance of the process flowsheets.

Site Inspection Live

With Site Inspection Live (SI Live), users can perform electronic mobile inspections using a Windows-based handheld device. This software tool simplifies and expedites the capture of maintenance and safety inspection data. It includes functions for facility, safety, and quality-control management that can schedule inspections, collect inspection data, and automatically compile inspection reports that address regulatory requirements. Its automated wizards and forms guide the user through the template development and inspection processes.

AutoPIPE Nuclear V8i front-end plant design tool

The AutoPIPE Nuclear V8i front-end plant design tool performs accurate modeling and stress analyses on existing and new nuclear power stations. It combines the ADLPipe nuclear piping-analysis engine with the modeling environment of AutoPIPE. Its interface’s graphical-object, point-and-click, and copy-and-paste features enable users to quickly and accurately make modifications. Other advanced features include integrated through-wall thermal-gradient, fluid-transient, seismic-response-spectra enveloping, and steam relief analyses.

AMS Suite Intelligent Device Manager 9.5

AMS Suite Intelligent Device Manager 9.5 helps engineers to plan and manage scalable wireless networks. The software provides a common interface for users to manage their wired and wireless instruments and valves. Wireless device configuration is streamlined and drag-and-drop functionality automates the writing of join keys into wireless devices, which increases both efficiency and security.

Symyx Notebook

The Symyx Notebook is a software tool that simplifies laboratory operations by helping scientists and engineers organize their research and data. It lowers costs by enabling R&D organizations to replace multiple discipline-specific electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) with a single, multi-discipline application that is deployable across an entire enterprise. This ELN was designed in collaboration with many large pharmaceutical and chemical companies so that its usefulness would extend beyond the laboratory setting.
