Schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) piping systems

By expanding its Schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) piping systems to include molded caps in 10- and 12-in. sizes,  this company now offers a  comprehensive range of piping in sizes from 1/4 in. to 16 in.  The product line features molded Flush Style Reducer Bushings through 12 in., as well as fabricated fittings through 16-in.

PVC and Polyurethane Tubing and Hose

To help users understand the critical differences between the performance properties of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyurethane, this chart presents at a glance the association standards that the materials meet (FDA, NSF, 3A, Class VI), hardness, tensile strength, operating temperatures, working and burst pressures, colors, weather resistance, custom options, and more. It lists the sizes stocked by the company, the forms of products available (e.g., unreinforced tubing, reinforced hose), and the grades for particular uses.

Magnetic Separation for the Plastics Industry

A broad line of magnetic metal separators, electronic metal detectors, and electromagnetic and electrostatic separators designed for plastics processing and recycling is detailed in this 28-page catalog. Application data, photographs, diagrams, and specifications are provided for a variety of equipment, including the Move-It conveyor and the Plastic Series and Metal Series electrostatic separators, which let users extract small, difficult-to-reclaim particles from recycled material.

Optimize Total System Cost - Brochure

According to this brochure, chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical processes can save from 10% to 200% in total system operating costs (depending on equipment, chemical environment and previous seal material) by switching to Kalrez perfluoroelastomer seals. The brochure cites case history examples from a global agrochemical producer and a process pump manufacturer.

Worcester CPT ball valves

The Worcester CPT ball valves are engineered as control valves and provide reliable operation and precise valve positioning in critical throttling conditions. The valves can be used in systems that control steam pressure or pH levels, operate in low-temperature cryogenic conditions or up to 1,000°F, and meet EPA and OSHA specifications for containing toxic chemicals. CPT valves feature a patented seat technology, made from self-lubricated, full-contact sintered stainless steel, impregnated throughout with TFE (modified PTFE) or graphite.

Cole-Parmer 2007/08 catalog

More than 60,000 products, among them 11,000 new items, are featured in the 2,600-page, 2007/08 catalog. It includes the Masterflex tubing pumps, along with test, measurement and process control instrumentation, flowmeters, fittings, valves, tubing and hose, mixers, filtration equipment, and more.

Instrumentation

Customers can qualify to test drive free Norgren products by visiting www.norgren.com/testdrive to complete a brief form. The firm offers thousands of stocked and custom solutions, including actuators, valves, pneumatic motion control, fluid control, air preparation and fittings.

FLT flow switch

The FLT (flow/level/temperature) flow switch reliably monitors the flow and temperature of liquids, gases, slurries, lubricants, and other fluids to provide wet/dry detection and pump protection from damage due to sudden, unexpected reductions in flowrates. The FLT flow switch has a dual-alarm capability. Alarm 1 provides a pre-warning signal with the detection of low-flow situations between 0.01 and 3 ft/s, allowing the control system or operator to determine whether to keep the pump running or shut it down.

HT and HTM mixers

A 4-page brochure provides detailed information regarding the features and benefits of the HT and HTM mixers for processes such as chemical reactions, polymerizations, gas dispersion, mining, and waste treatment. Standard and optional shaft designs, a variety of mechanical impellers, and sealing options are also highlighted.

Vortex mixer

The Vortex mixer features both touch operation and continuous operation modes. Its low-profile design and rubber feet provide excellent stability with minimum vibration and sliding. Its highly sensitive touch switch is used to initiate real-time mixing, and its control knob allows the mixing speed to be varied. The mixer has a built-in safety device for overload protection and is constructed of a chemically resistant polypropylene exterior. A wide range of accessories, including a micro plate holder and tube holders ranging in size from 10 mm to 25 mm is available.
