Rachel Segalman is an Edward Noble Kramer Professor and Department Chair at University of California, Santa Barbara, and keynote speaker at the 2017 AIChE Women's Initiative Committee (WIC) Networking Luncheon.

Following her keynote, Rachel chatted with with Julianne Holloway, the current Women's Initiative Committee (WIC) chair, and an assistant professor at Arizona State University. AIChE to Lead DOE's RAPID Modular Process Intensification Institute

Last week the Department of Energy (DOE) announced that its newest member of the Manufacturing USA Institutes will be lead by AIChE. The new institute, known as the Rapid Advancement in Process Intensification Deployment (RAPID) Manufacturing Institute, will work to reduce energy usage and feedstock waste, and improve manufacturing productivity by integrating unit processes into single modular hardware elements that are cost effective, highly efficient and scalable.
