Lirio Quintero, Senior Technical Advisor at Baker Hughes and AIChE’s representative to the Board of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), has been recognized by the International Energy Agency’s (IEA’s) Technology Collaboration Program on Enhanced Oil Recovery for her leadership in industry. The award — recently established by IEA — is one of several that recognize industry leaders in three geographic regions: the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. Quintero, who is Baker Hughes’s Senior Technical Advisor for Fluids and Enhance Oil Recover, was selected as the inaugural Americas Regional Leader.
A chemical engineering alumnus of the University of the Andes (Venezuela), who earned he PhD in petroleum sciences at Pierre and Marie Curie University (France), Quintero has been a member of AIChE’s program subcommittee at OTC, and has served as AIChE’s OTC board representative, since 2019.
AIChE is one of the 12 founding engineering and scientific organizations of the Offshore Technology Conference, which was established in 1969.
