Making Sense of the Data: New Measures for a Circular Economy

Authors

Martin, E. - Presenter, The Circulate Initiative
As the public and private sectors seek solutions to stop the flow of plastic waste into the ocean, the need for better measures is clear. However, it’s a “Wild West” moment for measurement. There are actually many resources out there on what and how to measure, but it’s fragmented and not accessible. Assurances for tracking and tracing materials through a post-consumption supply chain are emerging, but not yet at scale. If we want to be able to act quickly, we need to do better. This session will provide an overview of the measurement landscape and what's needed in the industry.
