One of the most critical process safety barriers is the pressure relief and disposal (PRD) system, often described as the last layer of protection against loss of containment. Historically managing data of this critical process safety barrier has not been given the attention it deserves resulting in challenges to manage the PRD design to meet the process safe operating conditions throughout the assetsâ lifecycle.
In this workshop, Siemens subject matter experts will share process industryâs best-in-class practices and case studies for PRD data management from early design stages, e.g., pre-FEED, throughout various process operating phases. These practices aim to improve PRD inherently safer and optimized design while establishing data management systems that ensure efficient data accessibility, risk visibility, and effective decision making by incorporating following elements:
- Establishing consistent PRD design and data management practices
- Improving PRD systems inherently safer design
- Enhancing management of process safe operating limits
- Improving visibility into PRD performance indicators
