RAPID Workshop
RAPID, MCPI, and Space:

RAPID will hold a problem-discovery brainstorming session at the end of the STAR Tech workshop to identify the potential role of modular chemical and process intensification (MCPI) in space habitation. MCPI is a set of technologies that brings significant reduction in equipment size and improvement in energy efficiency — both key targets for space habitation. The workshop will convene scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders working in modular manufacturing, chemical and commodity processing, the oil and gas industry, and others to identify key challenges that could potentially be solved with MCPI. During the event, a RAPID representative will present an overview of the RAPID manufacturing institute and the institute’s roadmap followed by small group breakouts. There will be plenty of time to ask questions about RAPID and to provide your perspective on where MCPI could have significant impact.
