2021 Graduate Student Award Winners!

This year's AIChE Annual Meeting in Boston marked the inaugural Transport and Energy Processes (TEP) Graduate Student Awards. We received excellent entries from across the country and were fortunate to host (most of) the students in person. Choosing a top 3 from such an excellent cohort was not easy. Based on scoring by the session chairs and two external judges, our inaugural winners are:

1. Harsh Agarwal (University of Michigan, Advised by: Nirala Singh)

2. Julie Fornaciari (University of California Berkeley, Advised by: Alexis T. Bell)

3. Charles Tai-Chieh Wan (MIT, Advised by: Fikile Brushett and Yet-Ming Chiang)

We thank all the students for sharing their work with us and the broader TEP community. It is inspiring to see the young generation of scientists and engineers working to solve some of the most important challenges facing our society.

The session was made possible by the support of the TEP and AIChE leadership and the assistance of our external judges in helping make the session a success. We also thank the students' advisors for supporting their participation.

Please encourage your exceptional peers and students to apply in 2022.
