Kalan Guiley | Boeing | 747-8 High Lift Systems

Scott Tavaglione, PE | GE Water & Process Technologies | Project Engineer

Scott Tavaglione is a key member of GE Water and Process Technologies, RCC's Engineering and Design team. With over 20 years of experience in industrial process systems design, and 12 years working on the design of Brine Concentrators and Crystallizers systems, Mr. Tavaglione coordinates multi-discipline support for major, turn-key and equipment supply projects at GEWPT RCC.

Mr. Tavaglione has worked as Project Engineer with responsibilities for a variety of mechanical design projects, including mechanical engineering design on projects ranging from SAGD produced water treatment plants to industrial power and facilities projects. His engineering efforts have included project engineering and management, process engineering, piping, machine and manufacturing facility design, and construction support services.

He has a diverse background in mechanical engineering in industrial processes with over 20 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, and 7 of those years in consulting engineering. His more recent experience of the last 10 years includes Produced Water evaporator treating plants, Zero Liquid Discharge Plants for cooling tower blowdown, HAZOP reviews, steam and process piping design, coordination and integration of different engineering disiplines during project execution, close interaction with the project PM, and maintaining a client facing role.

Randy Lord | Boeing | 747-8i Insulation Blankets Project Manager

Randy Lord has been a mechanical engineer and project manager for almost 30 years.  He received his BSME from Washington State University and his Masters of Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. 

He has been a design engineer, manufacturing engineer, certification expert, configuration manager, project manager, manager of an engineering group, and consultant.  He has worked in a variety of industries with diverse companies such as Hewlett Packard, Precor, and Boeing, with company sizes ranging from tens of thousands to less than ten . 

He has received three patents for design and processes, and has written many Product Development processes for companies and clients.  He has developed a project management training course at Boeing to help implement a project management perspective throughout the engineering community, training hundreds by either direct coursework or by experiencing the projects he manages. 

As a recognized project management expert within the Boeing community, he is consistently in demand to manage complex and risky projects.  Throughout his career, he has developed a passion for seeing projects perform well, and has devoted much of his time helping others be successful with their projects.

Ricole Johnson, MBA, PMP | Starbucks Coffee Company | Senior Engineer

Ricole Johnson is a Materials Engineer with over 20 years experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, R&D and business development. She has worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies spanning many different industries, including pharmaceutical, automotive, steel, chemical, aerospace, forestry, as well as food & beverage.

Mrs. Johnson has been published in several technical journals and was awarded a U.S. patent for her contributions to corrosion control of painted metallic auto body panels.  Ricole currently works at Starbucks Coffee Company as a Senior Engineer and Project Manager, where she is responsible for managing mid-size ($1-$5MM) capital projects across their North American coffee roasting plants.  She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Green Belt.  Ricole is an active member of the Puget Sound chapter of  the Project Management Institute (PMI). 

She received her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Cincinnati, and her M.B.A. from Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Johnson is a native of Plainfield, New Jersey. She relocated to Seattle six years ago, where she and her family have become actively engaged in the community. Ricole is a volunteer tutor and mentor to high school students in Seattle’s Central area. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, live theater, and bikram yoga.
