[January 4, 2024] Mark Swientoniewski has been selected to receive the 2024 Division Service Award for his extensive contributions to the division for almost a decade. His contributions started when he agreed to serve as division Vice Chair, at a time when the division was having difficulty finding members willing to lead. He did an outstanding job during his tenure as Vice Chair, Chair, and Past Chair. Mark has participated actively in programming, chairing sessions, establishing relationships with other AIChE groups, representing the division as a panelist at the Student Annual Conference, and most recently leading the Awards Committee. Under Mark’s leadership as Chair of the Awards Committee, the reputation of the Management Award and Young Leader Award continue to grow, attracting very strong nominations every year. Congratulations to Mark on a very well deserved recognition!
