Young Professionals' Programs at the 2016 AIChE Annual Meeting

At the 2016 AIChE Annual Meeting, the YPC is organizing 4 sessions directly to highlight undergraduate research, and co-sponsoring 12 other sessions with other committees within AIChE. In the majority of the co-sponsored sessions, YPC members are acting as a co-chair and getting actively involved with that specific session.

 

While all of the sessions will be interesting, one to look especially forward to is the Women's Initiatives Committee (WIC)-YPC sponsored session, "Chemical Process and Product Careers in Academic vs. Industry."  This session is geared specifically towards graduate students, but will be informative for anyone wishing to attend. 

 

YPC is still in need of a co-chair of the Undergraduate Research Forum: Award Winners. This session will have winners of the YCOSST award and the WISE interns present their summer research. The responsibilities of this co-chair role are to attend the session, help introduce the different speakers, and help facilitate questions from the audience.
