Opportunities to Volunteer for the Annual Student Conference

1) YPC Travel Grant: This award grants a travel stipend to promising AIChE Student Leaders to attend the Annual Student Conference.  The deadline for submissions is Sept 19th, and we will need judges to help selecting winners.  Each volunteer of the review committee will be given up to 10 (heavily dependent on number of applicants and volunteers) applications to review.  1 to 2 oustanding applicants will be selected amongst everyone's pool for the final round of the selection process.  Everyone will review the finalists and rank the applications, and the winners will be selected based on highest averaged rankings. If interested, please email David Dai at wd226@cornell.edu or sign up using the google form here: https://goo.gl/ALjy20

2) Student Paper Competition: This Competition features the 9 Regional winners of the Regional Student Paper Competitions, where they will be presenting their cutting edge research to compete for a prize.  Presentations often focus on recent advances in some branch of chemical engineering, original research, or plant design.  The Student Paper Competition Committee is looking for 5 judges who will be attending the Annual Student Conference or Annual Meeting and can be available on Monday, November 9th from 8:00am- 11:00am.  Anyone who is interested in participating can email Doug Ludlow at dludlow@mst.edu

Volunteers should be available from Monday Nov 9 from 10am-12pm and should feel comfortable judging scientific research posters.  To sign up, please fill out the form here:  http://tinyurl.com/nguhrc4
