Through a total 34 sponsored and co-sponsored sessions, AIChE YPC is offering lots of learning, networking, collaborating, and professional development opportunities for the undergraduates, graduates, postdocs and young faculty

Sunday, November 8: YPC is always excited to welcome new members

Navigating the Conference session will introduce the basics of the Annual conference, and some tips on how to get the most out of your conference experience.

A special recognition for the WISE interns and YCOSST award winners at the Undergraduate Research Forum IV

Prospective faculty can prepare for the search process and transition to academic life through group activities, shared experiences by the faculty at Career Planning for Prospective Faculty workshop, learn the skills of teaching at the Effective Teaching for New or Prospective Faculty workshop, and get acquainted to the future employers at Meet the Faculty Candidate poster session. The events for the prospective faculty are co-sponsored with the Education Division.

And a ticketed event exclusively for the women graduate students co-sponsored with Women’s Initiative Committee (WIC)

Monday, November 9: YPC will commence the conference with three Undergraduate Research Forums on

I)  Energy and Environment

II) Bioengineering

III) Classical Chemical Engineering/Other Special Topics.

These forums will give undergraduate students an opportunity to present their exciting research through oral presentations.

YPs can acquire the skills to manage research projects from conception to project management completion and working with people at Innovation - Working with People and Managing Projects workshop, how to entrepreneur,  learning  from the experienced project managers and team members on how to achieve project success at Fundamentals of Applied Project Management. These two sessions are co-sponsored with the Management Division.

YPCs can also learn more to make effective posters and getting their research published in addition to attending poster sessions co-sponsored by Materials, Biomaterial, Nanoscience and Engineering, Process development and Computational Science and Engineering forums.

Tuesday, November 10: Interested in starting a Startup? Learn it from the successful entrepreneurs who will share their experiences at the Entrepreneurial Chemical Engineer workshop or learn the challenges in management, IP and product development at Innovation without Borders workshop. To conclude your day by showing your support at the Bionanotechnology and Carbon Nanomaterial graduate award sessions or learn about particle technology at the student poster sessions.
